June 9, 2022 — In order to get the feedback from recipient institutions of the Asia Foundation's books donation project, Ms. Bui Thi Thuy - Head of Foreign Affairs and Ms. Pham Phuong Lan - Asia Foundation Books Donation Coordinator from the National Library of Vietnam paid a visit to TDTU INSPiRE Library.
At the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Loan Thuy - Director of TDTU INSPiRE Library stated how donated book collections from the Asia Foundation were efficiently used at TDTU and the demand of library users for such learning and teaching materials of Asia Foundation.
The relating issues were discussed to ensure that the donation project could be continued with the best results in the near future. The representatives of the National Library of Vietnam also took a tour of INSPIRE Library and were given a brief explanation of the library learning commons spaces, equipments and facilities, library management system and learning resources at TDTU INSPiRE Library and Vietnam Finland International School Libraries (wholly owned by TDTU).

The Asia Foundation’s Books for Asia program puts one million new books and resources into the hands of students, educators, and community leaders each year through the generous contributions of publishers and private donors. The Asia Foundation works with National Library of Vietnam to distribute the donated information resources in English to the public libraries, university libraries, and research íntitutions across the country. With the great support of National Library of Vietnam, TDTU INSPiRE Library received thousands of high quality books from Asia Foundation.
