October 27, 2022 - The workshop was hosted by TDTU INSPiRE Library with the cooperation with Creative Language Center (CLC) and ZIM Academy at 10F Conference Hall, brought together over 250 students.
This workshop was one of the academic events outlined in the TDTU Student Affair Agenda for 2022/23 that promoted effective English reading comprehension skills, fostering individual's lifelong learning, and boosting the English resource usage in INSPiRE Library.
As the speaker of this event, Mr. Gilbert Alvarez Pasno - CLC's English lecturer together with students had gone through many exciting topics about how English reading comprehension skills can support self-study activities in academic life.
Mr. Nguyen Anh Toan, Chief Operations Officer of ZIM Academy agreed that English reading comprehension skills were such "survival" techniques of students while highlighting what he had learned during his own journey to master these skills with many interesting stories and experiences to become a better reader - as his speech's theme.
Minigames were an interesting part that got everyone involved and engaged, it also helped review the important ideas in the speeches. Fifteen students who won the minigames received fifteen rewards from ZIM Academy and INSPiRE Library.
TDTU INSPiRE Library took this chance to award the winners of the Reading Culture Ambassador Contest 2022: Aspirations for national development - Preliminary Round at TDTU. The contest was launched by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and aimed to contribute to affirming the position and great role of Vietnamese culture, especially reading culture, in spreading the knowledge, improving people's intelligence, creativity, fostering personality, arousing patriotism and aspirations for national development.
Such academic events will be held by TDTU INSPiRE Library in the coming months to foster reading culture among readers at TDTU in the school year 2022/23.
