To strengthen the connection between academic theory and professional practice, on April 13, 2026, INSPiRE Library of Ton Duc Thang University welcomed and guided a delegation of students from the Information and Library Science program, Cohort 18, of Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture for a practical learning visit.

The program was attended by more than 30 students along with their lecturer, Mr. Nguyen Manh Kiem, M.A. Representing INSPiRE Library, Mr. Le Trong Giau directly guided, introduced, and accompanied the delegation throughout the visit and learning activities.

During the program, students had the opportunity to directly explore the Library’s organizational model, spatial design, and facilities system. Functional areas, service procedures, and the operation of modern library services were introduced in detail, helping participants gain a comprehensive understanding of how an academic library functions. In addition, topics related to equipment systems, technology applications, and service organization methods were presented in connection with real operational practices.

Throughout the visit, students showed strong interest by actively observing, discussing, and asking library staff questions related to professional issues. Many discussions focused on space organization, user services, and the evolving role of libraries in the contemporary context. These exchanges contributed to helping students better understand professional requirements and future development directions within the information and library field.

The visit not only provided valuable practical experiences but also created opportunities for students to connect academic knowledge with a real working environment. Direct exposure to the library model helped participants gain a clearer understanding of the profession while also enhancing awareness of the important role libraries play in supporting learning and research within universities.
