Situated on our main campus at 19 Nguyen Huu Tho Street, Tan Phong Ward, District 7, Ton Duc Thang University INSPiRE Library is a state-of-the-art facility with an investment of 129 billion VND, covering 8,678 square meters. Following the Learning Commons model, this seven-story building, along with a basement for overnight study, features uniquely themed floors. The library's name, INSPiRE, is an acronym derived from the names of each floor:
- Ground Floor – Indurance
- 1st Floor - Nisus
- 2nd Floor - Sagacity
- 3rd Floor - Progress
- 4th Floor - Initiative
- 5th Floor - Responsibility
- 6th Floor - Excellence
English is encouraged as the primary language of communication within the INSPiRE Library. It accommodates over 3,000 users simultaneously and includes:
- Learning Commons: 9 presentation practice rooms, 3 group study rooms, 2 video rooms, 1 online conference room, a creative media zone, and more.
- Information Services Spaces: Information desks, new book displays, computer areas, quick access stations, print stations, self-check stations, and more.
- Social Meeting Areas: Meeting points, a coffee area, a newspaper area, an exhibition lounge, and more.
- Special Services & Collection Area: TDTU Museum, TDTU Researchgate, sample material collection, and more.
- Administration Area
Designed by TDTU faculty and students, the library showcases modern and impressive design concepts and styles.
INSPiRE Library is one of the most advanced in Vietnam, meeting international standards through cutting-edge library management methods. It utilizes the ALEPH Solution for course material management and includes applications like Primo Central Index, SFX, and Metalib from Ex Libris, used by top universities such as Harvard and Oxford.
Equipped with RFID technology-based automated machines, including a sorter and return machine, book shower, self-check machine, access control, and multifunctional printers, the library promotes self-study and research while optimizing management activities.
Its resources encompass an extensive collection of print materials, a library repository, and millions of academic resources, including scientific works, e-journals, e-books, and open access materials from global publishers and universities. The library offers various services, including Worldshare inter-library loan, information and reference support, learning and teaching support, and research and publishing support, to enhance user access to resources.
