In celebration of Vietnamese Women’s Day on October 20, TDTU INSPiRE Library brought to the Ton Duc Thang University community a week full of emotions through the program “Film Week – Theme: The Mark of Vietnamese Women”, held from October 20 to 31, 2025, at the library’s film-viewing areas and rooms on the second floor.
The event offered a cinematic journey exploring the image of Vietnamese women through both historical films and contemporary works. Each story and character vividly portrayed the beauty, intellect, and resilience of Vietnamese women across different periods and social contexts. The selected films—high-quality titles focusing on Vietnamese women—were curated from the Netflix platform, reflecting the Library’s commitment to promoting the effective use of licensed digital resources and fostering a culture of copyright respect within the academic environment.
Through a series of rotating screenings, students had the opportunity to enjoy the art of cinema while gaining deeper insights into humanistic values, the spirit of dedication, and the enduring aspirations of Vietnamese women across eras. The event also marked the Library’s continuous effort to optimize its audiovisual collection and make full use of its film-viewing facilities, transforming them into an academic and creative space where students can learn through art and connect emotionally through moving images.
Concluding Film Week – Theme: The Mark of Vietnamese Women, TDTU INSPiRE Library will continue to host regular film screening programs with diverse themes, offering students fresh learning experiences and nurturing their minds through cinematic perspectives.
