August 29, 2024 - Ton Duc Thang University INSPiRE Library (TDTU) had the honor of hosting a delegation from the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Vinh Long Province. The delegation visited to learn from TDTU's experience in establishing and developing a modern library. The delegation was led by Mr. Pham Minh Hoang, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Vinh Long Province, and included officials from the Department and the Provincial Library.
During the visit, the delegation explored the facilities of the TDTU Library and gained insights into effective management strategies, the organization of functional spaces, and various activities that support the learning and research needs of the university community. They were also introduced to a variety of services and the latest technologies implemented at TDTU Library to improve management efficiency and enhance user experience.
Mr. Pham Minh Hoang remarked: “The experiences shared by the Ton Duc Thang University Library in building, operating, and expanding their library will provide valuable guidance for our Department and the Provincial Library as we move forward with plans to construct a new library in Vinh Long Province. We hope that TDTU Library will continue to support us and share its expertise during the development of a modern library model in our province.”
TDTU Library expressed the readiness to share the knowledge and experiences with the Vinh Long Provincial Library during the planning and construction phases of the new library building. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Loan Thuy, TDTU Library Manager, commented: “We are delighted to welcome the delegation from Vinh Long's Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism. We hope that the experiences at TDTU Library we shared will make a positive contribution to the future development of the Vinh Long Provincial Library.”
The visit concluded in a spirit of friendship and openness, marking a new chapter in the collaborative relationship between Vinh Long Provincial Library and Ton Duc Thang University Library. It also highlighted the shared commitment of both institutions to enhance the development and quality of library services for their communities.
