Ton Duc Thang University INSPiRE Library, in collaboration with the Truth National Political Publishing House - Ho Chi Minh City Branch, is hosting a book and photo exhibition: “Vietnam - From Doi Moi to Integration and Development”. The event was held from August 19th to August 24th, 2024, in the Book Display Area on the 1st Floor of the Library and the 2AC Hall. This exhibition is part of a broader series of Political Awareness Programs aimed at enhancing TDTU students' understanding of the Party’s and State’s policies and strategies during Vietnam’s journey of Doi Moi and international integration.
The exhibition aims to deepen students' knowledge of Vietnam’s achievements in various fields, including economics, politics, culture, and society, over nearly 40 years of Doi Moi and Integration. By showcasing these achievements, the exhibition provides a comprehensive overview of the significant progress made under the leadership of the Party and State. It highlights how strategic reforms have transformed Vietnam into a dynamic and globally integrated nation. This event is an opportunity for students to learn more about the country’s socio-economic development and the policies that have shaped its path to modernization and growth.
A key feature of the exhibition is a collection of publications by the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, which offer valuable theoretical and practical insights into the nation’s development during the new era. These works, published by the Truth National Political Publishing House, are presented to provide students with an understanding of the ideological foundations and practical strategies that have guided Vietnam’s growth and transformation. Additionally, the exhibition includes a range of other publications that document the key milestones and contributions of Party, State, and Government leaders in advancing the country’s renewal process. These materials help to illustrate the leadership’s vision and efforts in steering Vietnam toward greater economic and social achievements.
Through the displayed books and photos, TDTU students are encouraged to explore Vietnam's rich history and culture, fostering a sense of pride and civic responsibility. By engaging with these materials, students can build a stronger understanding of the nation’s historical journey and the importance of contributing to its future. The aim is to inspire the younger generation to develop strong ideals, strengthen their belief in Vietnam’s potential, and commit to becoming active, valuable citizens who contribute to society's progress.
The “Vietnam - From Doi Moi to Integration and Development” exhibition is more than a cultural event; it is an educational initiative that encourages a deeper understanding of Vietnam’s historical and cultural evolution and developmental achievements. It provides a unique opportunity for students to connect with their country’s past, recognize their role in its future, and be motivated to contribute to its sustainable development. By highlighting the successes and lessons of Vietnam’s renewal journey, the exhibition seeks to inspire students to actively participate in shaping a brighter, more prosperous future for the nation.
