January 17, 2024 - Ton Duc Thang University INSPiRE Library has recently hosted the academic workshop on "Startup Ecosystem in India", which provided invaluable insights into the dynamic world of entrepreneurship in India and Vietnam. Held at the 10F Hall, this workshop featured distinguished speakers: Dr. Madan Mohan Sethi - Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City and Ms. Nguyen Lam Ngoc Bich, Co-founder, and Chief Strategy Officer of BusMap.

The workshop began with a captivating keynote address by Dr. Madan Mohan Sethi, shedding light on key trends and success stories within India's flourishing startup ecosystem. He emphasized the collaborative potential between Indian and Vietnamese startups, encouraging cross-cultural partnerships and fostering global innovation. A notable highlight was the Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City expressing his willing to act as a bridge between Vietnamese students and the vibrant startup community and university in India. This opens doors for potential collaborations, exchanges, and connections between students of TDTU in particular and Vietnamese students in general, and the broader international startup ecosystem.

Ms. Nguyen Lam Ngoc Bich, the Co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer of BusMap, shared her entrepreneurial journey, inspiring students with her personal stories. Many attendees in the meeting hall use BusMap daily, making Ms. Ngoc Bich's insights particularly impactful. Her tales of co-founding BusMap, and her inspring journeys when she was a students in business, served as a beacon for aspiring entrepreneurs, illustrating the real-world challenges and triumphs of building a startup from the ground up.

The workshop continued with a lively panel discussion and an engaging session that allowed students to interact directly with the speakers. Two of the leaders of TDTU Startup Club joined the panel on behalf of the startup spirit of TDTU students. Attendees seized the opportunity to ask questions about the challenges, characteristics of startups, finding ventures, and more. This interactive segment provided a unique platform for students to gain knowledge and guidance from experienced professionals.

To wrap up the workshop on a high note, a minigame "Golden Bell Challenge" added fun into the event’s atmosphere. Attendees enthusiastically participated, answering questions related to India. Winners were rewarded with gifts from TDTU INSPiRE Library and the Consulate General of India, adding an element of excitement and camaraderie.

The workshop "Startup Ecosystem in India" served as a valuable opportunity for like-minded individuals to meet, share experiences, and connect for future startup ideas and plans. The collaborative spirit in the Hall created an environment conducive to fostering innovative initiatives and collaborative efforts among aspiring entrepreneurs.
