With the orientation toward strengthening community engagement and spreading academic values, INSPiRE Library of Ton Duc Thang University has proactively implemented initiatives to promote reading culture within the wider community. As part of the TDTU Open Day 2026 program, INSPiRE Library organized a series of activities under the INSPiRE Network reading promotion initiative for high school students.

The program took place on March 28, 2026, at the Library building and attracted the direct participation of more than 500 students from over 30 high schools. Designed with a strong focus on interaction and engagement, the activities created a distinctive highlight for the event. From experiencing Augmented Reality (AR) technology through interactive check-in activities to solving book title challenges and designing personalized bookmarks, each activity contributed to promoting reading culture through a more active and experience-based approach.

Throughout the program, student groups actively selected and participated in different challenge stations. The lively atmosphere was reflected in moments when students gathered together to discuss clues, concentrate on solving puzzles, and suddenly burst into laughter after discovering the correct answers. At interactive stations, many students expressed excitement when completing challenges or receiving rewards from the lucky spin activities. Interwoven with these energetic moments were quieter scenes of students carefully decorating bookmarks, reflecting on personal aspirations, and writing messages about their future goals.

Through the program, the connecting role of INSPiRE Library was clearly demonstrated, strengthening relationships between the University, high school students, and secondary education institutions. The activities contributed positively to the educational community while also promoting the image of a modern academic environment associated with reading culture and lifelong learning at TDTU.

The students’ direct experiences within the Library space also helped shape more practical and authentic impressions of the learning environment at TDTU. Through participating in activities, interacting with the space, and observing the organization and operation of the Library, students had the opportunity to gain a more vivid understanding of the dynamic university learning model at the University.

The activities organized under the INSPiRE Network initiative marked an important first step toward developing a highly connected and influential reading promotion network. Building on the positive outcomes of the program, INSPiRE Library will continue expanding future activities by diversifying experiential content and strengthening collaboration with high schools. Through these efforts, the Library aims to gradually develop a learning ecosystem connected to reading culture, self-learning capacity, and lifelong learning spirit, extending not only within the University but also throughout the broader educational community.
