On October 30, 2024, INSPiRE Library welcomed 53 students from the Faculty of Information and Library Science, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, for a study tour. This visit was part of the course “Introduction to Library Studies", offering students an opportunity to experience real-life library operations and broaden their knowledge in the field of information and library science.

Guided by library staff, the students had the chance to learn about the INSPiRE Library’s wide range of services and technologies designed to support the university community. During the tour, students gained hands-on experience with the operations of a modern academic library—from the borrowing and returning systems, and the classification system, to automated applications for room reservations, computer and printer management, and the impressive, varied spatial arrangements. They were also introduced to new concepts that the library plans to implement soon, such as the AI Corner and an exhibition area integrated with AR technology.

This study tour for students from the Faculty of Information and Library Science demonstrates INSPiRE Library’s commitment not only to serving the university community but also to inspiring future librarians and information professionals. Through initiatives like this, the library reaffirms its important role in enhancing educational quality, fostering innovation, and supporting the community.
