Workshop: Effectively exploiting the library for student scientific research
February 9, 2022 - In a series of activities to foster scientific research activities among students, TDTU INSPiRE Library organized the workshop "Effectively exploiting the library for student scientific research" in the academic year 2022-2023 with the participation of nearly 200 students.
During the workshop, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Duong, M.A., has provided necessary instructions for students on methods of exploiting resources, services and supporting tools available at the Library to make the best for students' scientific research. The workshop had 5 main parts: (1) Introduction to research support resources and how to exploit them, (2) Introduction to research support services and how to use them, (3) Skills in effectively exploiting resources, supporting tools, databases for research, (4) Instructions for using Endnote, (5) Exchanging research interests and ideas for student research. Students also joined the Q&A session for scientific research matters as well as the available support at the Library. The program equipped students with a lot of useful and practical information, so that they can effectively exploit the library resources and support for their research in the future.
Ton Duc Thang University is a research-oriented public university. Research activities are promoted throughout the university and in many community member groups, including students. Participating in scientific research helps students become more interested and enthusiastic in study, and at the same time, effectively supports their demand in gaining scientific knowledge with more confidence. Many academic activities to promote reading culture and support the development of reading/writing/research skills for TDTU students will continue to be organized by INSPiRE Library in the near future.
