To equip students with effective and scientific methods for learning English from the very beginning, the INSPiRE Library, in collaboration with Saigon Books, is organizing an Author Talk on the theme: “The Right Mindset for Learning English from the Start.”

The program offers students the opportunity to listen to and interact directly with Mr. Truong Ky Tong – one of the most inspiring young figures in English language learning today. Through practical sharing and hands-on guidance, students will gain valuable strategies to improve their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. The session aims to help students build a correct learning mindset, develop confidence, and use English effectively in diverse contexts.

4. About the Author and the Book

Author: Truong Ky Tong – Former student of Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted; graduate of Grand Prairie Collegiate Institute (USA); holder of an IELTS 8.5 score; official partner of the British Council, with over 5 years of IELTS teaching experience.
He is the co-founder of Nhà IELTS, together with Vo Thai Thao Nhi – former student of Lê Hồng Phong High School for the Gifted, IELTS 8.0, Bachelor of Arts from Fulbright University Vietnam, with 4 years of English teaching experience.

Book: “Tư duy học IELTS đúng từ đầu – Nền tảng chiến lược cho hành trình chinh phục tiếng Anh” (The Right Mindset for IELTS Learning from the Start – A Strategic Foundation for Mastering English)
The book helps learners understand how to build a natural English reflex, apply the “reverse thinking” method for Reading, the “PEEL” technique for Writing Task 2, and “Chunking” for fast data processing. It also shares real-life experiences and focus techniques to help learners achieve better results in their language journey.
