Following the Plan No. 77/KH-CDCS on organizing the Trade Union Group Conference, the Grassroots-level Trade Union Congress for the term 2023-2028 of Ton Duc Thang University's Grassroots-level Trade Union, dated February 21, 2023, the Library's Trade Union Group held a conference to summarize and evaluate the results of its trade union's activities in the past term and draw up the action plan for the coming term; electing the Leader of the Library Trade Union Group for the term 2023-2028; choosing the representative to the University's Trade Union Congress; introducing representative to join the TDTU Executive Committee of Trade Union; and also discussing the issues related to the rights and benefits of trade union members as well as other activities of the library trade union.
On behalf of the Conference Chairman, Ms. Bui Loan Thuy, manager of TDTU Library, praised and acknowledged the efforts of the library's trade union members in the last term and expressed her firm belief in the role of the trade union in fostering a harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relationship; organizing emulation movements; taking care of the employees' jobs and lives; and protecting the rights and benefits of trade union members.
Winning a high percentage of votes for the position of Leader of the Library Trade Union Group for the term 2023–2028, Mr. Huynh Thanh Phung gave a remark to officially take the position and promised to continue to build a strong trade union group, foster the role of the union in motivating and encouraging union members in the library to unite, and promote intelligence and dedication to successfully complete the action plan and its objectives.
The conference also voted for the representative to join the Executive Committee of the TDTU Trade Union for Term VIII (2023–2028) and to attend the TDTU Union Congress.
