How long can I submit my assignment?
Students may submit their assignments multiple times until the content is approved by the lecturer and meets the institution’s academic integrity standards.
Starting from the fourth submission, students must wait at least 24 hours after their most recent submission for Turnitin to generate a new similarity report.
How does Turnitin store submissions?
By default, submissions are automatically saved in Turnitin’s Student Repository and will become reference data for future similarity checks. Any different configurations will depend on the settings chosen by the lecturer.
Can I intervene in the plagiarism checking process?
You should not interfere with the plagiarism check to ensure accurate results. Any attempts to alter the similarity report or manipulate the system will be flagged by Turnitin and notified to the lecturer. Lecturers can easily detect any irregularities in the submission.
It is recommended to use indirect citations (paraphrasing content in your own words while still crediting the original author and source). This helps maintain academic integrity while avoiding plagiarism.
