The beginning of a college journey is a momentous occasion in the life of any student. It's a time filled with excitement, anticipation. To help our incoming freshmen make a smooth transition into university life and make the most of the resources at their disposal, TDTU Library hosted a series of activiries as part of "Welcome Freshmen" program. Running from August 26 to September 8, 2023, this event aimed to introduce our newest students to the wealth of knowledge and support available at the heart of our academic community.
One of the highlights of "Welcome Freshmen" was the library tours conducted by the enthusiastic members of our Book Club. These tours provided an insider's perspective on navigating the library's extensive collections, study spaces, and its facilities. Freshmen, along with their parents and relatives, had the opportunity to explore the vast expanse of our library. These tours weren't just about showing where books were shelved or collections were located, they were an initiation into the world of academic discovery. The friendly and approachable guides made the experience engaging and interactive, fostering a sense of belonging and encouraging questions. For parents and relatives who may not be as familiar with the library, these tours were an excellent way to understand the resources available to the students and faculty at TDTU.
Recognizing the importance of digital connectivity in today's academic landscape, "Welcome Freshmen" also included a robust online component. The library posted essential information of TDTU Library that are invaluable to incoming students.
