March 24, 2023 - The delegation of the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Ho Chi Minh City including Ms. Kim Mi Yeon - Cultural Consul and her secretary visited INSPiRE Library and had a discussion with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Loan Thuy - Manager of INSPiRE Library, Dr. Dinh Hoang Bach - Director of the International Cooperation, Research and Training Institute, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Sy - Head of the Center for Vietnamese Studies and language, and Korean students who were studying at the Center.
In a friendly atmosphere, Dr. Dinh Hoang Bach warmly welcomed the special guests to visit the campus and briefly introduced some outstanding cooperation activities between TDTU and Korean agencies, organizations, and institutions in recent years. Accordingly, these activities were diversified in many areas such as training and education, scientific research, and cultural exchange. At the meeting, Ms. Kim Mi Yeon expressed her pleasure on the sustainable cooperation relationship between TDTU and Korean partners, as well as the Korean community in Ho Chi Minh City. She also shared information about the potential cooperation areas in both University level as well as department/faculty-level such as Library, International Cooperation, Research and Training Institute, and Center for Vietnamese studies and language.
The delegation also visited self-study spaces and the display area of the Korean collections funded by the Korean Government's programs at the Library building. The Consul highly appreciated the investment of TDTU in facilities as well as the attention of its leaders for the Library, and addressed the great potential for cooperation between TDTU and Korea in the future.
At the end of the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Loan Thuy gave the Consul a special souvenir to thank for supporting the cooperation activities between Korean partners and TDTU in general and the Library in particular.
