The Library of Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine visited INSPiRE Library

June 29, 2023 - In a remarkable display of friendship and knowledge exchange, the library team of Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine embarked on a visit to TDTU INSPiRE Library. This cross-institutional rendezvous fostered a vibrant exchange of ideas, expertise, and best practices within the realm of library, promoting a strong partnership among the gatekeepers of knowledge in the two universities.

The library team of Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine led by Ms. To Thi Hong Yen - Deputy Head of the Library were received with warmth and enthusiasm by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Loan Thuy - Manager of TDTU INSPiRE Library and her colleagues. The two sides discussed the important role of sharing the practical experience in library services, resource management, and user engagement, as well as to make room for the potential collaboration in library operation and development in the future.

The event kicked off with a warm welcome from Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Duong - Head of Information Services, who provided the library team of Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine a full library tour of INSPiRE Library's state-of-the-art facilities. With awe-inspiring architecture and cutting-edge technologies, the visiting librarians were impressed during the guided tour.

Following the tour, both parties shared their best practices and discussed the library development trends, day-to-day operation experience, especially the evolving role of librarians in various international accreditation programs for higher education institutions including HCERES, FIBAA, ASIIN, AUN-QA and so on. The discussion was also to boost the spirit of collaboration and friendship between the two libraries that characterized the entire visit.

Ms. To Thi Hong Yen expressed her gratitude, stating: "This visit has been an exceptional experience for all of us.
