On the morning of October 23, 2025, at Hall 6M, TDTU INSPiRE Library, in collaboration with Saigon Books, organized the Author Talk – “Learning English the Right Way from the Beginning". The program featured guest speakers and co-authors Truong Ky Tong and Vo Thai Thao Nhi, and attracted a large audience of Ton Duc Thang University students interested in effective English learning and the development of academic language skills.
The event aimed to equip students with practical and effective methods for improving their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, helping them apply these techniques to their studies and daily life. Through engaging presentations and direct interaction with the two authors, students were introduced to detailed learning strategies designed to help them build a strong English foundation, develop natural language reflexes, and gain confidence in using English for academic, presentation, and communication purposes.
In today’s globalized world, English proficiency is more than a language tool—it is the key that opens doors to academic, career, and international opportunities. Mastering these skills enables learners to access global knowledge, participate in exchange and research programs, and work in multicultural environments. Therefore, this event played a meaningful role in guiding and supporting students to build a solid English foundation, fostering their readiness for global integration.
Throughout the program, the authors not only shared key insights from their book, “Learning IELTS the Right Way from the Beginning – A Strategic Foundation for the English Mastery Journey”, but also expanded on their real-life teaching and self-learning experiences. Their inspiring stories and lively exchanges with students created an engaging atmosphere, helping learners realize that mastering English begins with the right mindset and effective learning methods.
