In line with Ton Duc Thang University’s regulations on academic integrity and plagiarism prevention in research and education, TDTU INSPiRE Library organized the Turnitin Training Program for the Academic Year 2025–2026 on October 16 and 17, 2024, conducted online via Zoom.

The training was structured into three modules tailored for different user groups. The first module guided graduate students and undergraduates in using Turnitin, focusing on account management and submission processes. The second module was designed for lecturers, researchers, and supervisors (Instructors), while the third addressed administrators (Admins and Sub-admins), providing instructions on system management, monitoring, and evaluation to ensure consistent and effective implementation across the University.

The sessions were delivered by experts from Turnitin, who introduced the system’s core functions, demonstrated practical usage steps such as submission, report reading, and similarity analysis, and highlighted new features updated for the 2025–2026 academic year. In addition, the experts shared practical tips on interpreting similarity reports and improving writing quality, helping participants view Turnitin as a tool to enhance academic writing and research integrity rather than merely a plagiarism checker.

After two sessions, the training recorded nearly 700 participants, including lecturers, researchers, graduate students, and undergraduates from various faculties, institutes, and departments across TDTU. The strong attendance reflected the University community’s growing awareness of academic integrity and its commitment to applying digital tools to strengthen research quality.

The Turnitin Training Program is an annual initiative organized by TDTU INSPiRE Library to support researchers, instructors, and students in upholding TDTU’s academic integrity standards, contributing to a truthful, innovative, and professional academic environment at Ton Duc Thang University.
