To commemorate the 136th anniversary of the birth of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 – May 19, 2026), the INSPiRE Library organized a series of thematic exhibitions and book displays from May 18 to May 31, 2026, creating an engaging learning environment where students could explore the life, revolutionary career, thought, morality, and leadership style of Vietnam's beloved leader. By integrating books, archival photographs, historical documents, digital resources, and interactive technologies, the program brought historical values closer to students through meaningful learning experiences within the Library.
Under the theme "Following President Ho Chi Minh's Footsteps," the book display on the Library's first floor introduced a carefully curated collection of publications highlighting President Ho Chi Minh's life, revolutionary journey, political philosophy, and enduring legacy. Each title offered valuable insights into different stages of his remarkable life—from his search for a path to national independence to his leadership of Vietnam's revolutionary movement. The collection also presented his enduring ideas on national independence, education, culture, and human development, as well as his modest lifestyle and exemplary moral character. Together, these resources encouraged students to engage in independent reading, critical reflection, and a deeper appreciation of his contributions to the nation.
Complementing the book display, the thematic exhibition "Ho Chi Minh: The Legacy of His Thought and Global Significance," held in the Library's History and Politics Space, provided visitors with a vivid visual narrative of President Ho Chi Minh's life and achievements. Through historical photographs, archival materials, quotations, books, and multimedia displays organized around thematic storylines, the exhibition guided visitors through key milestones of his revolutionary journey while illustrating the enduring values of his thought, ethics, and leadership. The exhibition also highlighted the continuing relevance of his legacy in Vietnam's national development and its broader significance in today's world.
One of the exhibition's distinctive features was the integration of augmented reality (AR) technology, allowing visitors to move beyond the physical exhibition and access additional digital content by scanning designated AR markers. This interactive approach enabled students to explore historical materials from multiple perspectives, transforming passive viewing into an engaging, self-directed learning experience. The application of digital technology reflects the Library's commitment to innovative educational practices that connect knowledge, technology, and experiential learning.
More than a commemorative event, the series of activities represented the Library's ongoing effort to make President Ho Chi Minh's thought, moral values, and leadership philosophy more accessible to students through contemporary educational approaches. By combining physical exhibitions with digital interaction, the program fostered a learning environment that was more visual, open, participatory, and experience-based.
