From August 25 to 27, 2025, TDTU INSPiRE Library successfully organized the program Welcome Freshmen 2025 – a special event to welcome first-year students of Class 29 together with their parents and family members during the enrollment period at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU). This opening activity was not only a warm greeting but also a meaningful milestone, marking the beginning of students’ engagement with the academic and research environment at TDTU.
With an experience space set up on the Library’s ground floor, the program offered a variety of meaningful activities, enabling freshmen and their families to feel the friendliness, modernity, and professionalism of the University. At interactive stations, students were introduced to the highlights of the Library’s services and learning spaces in an engaging and intuitive way, as well as experienced augmented reality (AR) technology. These experiences provided an inspiring first impression of a dynamic and creative learning environment while sparking curiosity and motivation for the upcoming academic journey of Class 29.
In addition, the “Today & Tomorrow” message-writing activity left a deep emotional mark as students could express their dreams, aspirations, and personal reflections to their future selves. These letters are preserved as a personal commitment, allowing students to look back after four years with pride and a sense of growth. The knowledge-based minigame brought excitement, helping students learn more about the Library while offering the chance to receive meaningful gifts. The check-in activity with family and friends not only captured memorable first moments at TDTU but also spread the dynamic and creative spirit of students to the wider community. Each day, the program selected one lucky student to receive a secret technology gift, serving not only as encouragement but also as a symbolic message of the Library’s companionship throughout their studies.
Welcome Freshmen 2025 was more than a welcoming event; it was also a reaffirmation of Ton Duc Thang University’s philosophy of liberal education. The program created inspiring first experiences, helping Cohort 29 confidently embark on a new stage filled with opportunities for learning, creativity, and personal development.
