In a world that artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming an essential tool in education, research, and various professional fields, TDTU INSPiRE Library collaborated with FPT Telecom to organize the workshop series: “Applying Advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) to Support Learning and Scientific Research for Students”. The event was held over two sessions, specifically designed for two distinct student groups: Social Sciences – Humanities – Economics and Engineering – Technology, and attracted strong interest and participation from students across the university.
On the morning of May 15, 2025, the first session was held for students from the Social Sciences – Humanities – Economics group, featuring the participation of Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Đinh, Head of Software Development, Information Systems Center, FPT Telecom. The session focused on guiding students to effectively leverage AI tools to support their learning and research processes. Through both presentations and hands-on activities, students learned how to customize AI responses for specific academic purposes, adjust the tone of AI-generated content for better communication, and were encouraged to use AI responsibly to avoid misuse and violations of academic standards.
Building on that success, the second session for students from the Engineering – Technology group took place in the afternoon of May 16, 2025. It featured Mr. An Minh Hung, AI Training and Research Specialist at the Information Systems Center, FPT Telecom, and continued with valuable insights from Mr. Nguyễn Chi Thanh, Recruitment Team Leader, Human Resources Department, FPT Telecom. The content of this session delved deeper into specialized AI applications in technical fields, helping students understand how AI tools can optimize research workflows, data processing, and technical design. Additionally, practical sharing from FPT Telecom’s HR representative provided a concrete perspective on the importance of AI skills in job seeking and career development within the technology sector.
Across both sessions, the workshop series not only provided students with updated knowledge and practical skills but also inspired them to explore responsible and effective applications of AI in their studies and research. The program also helped students shape a clearer professional mindset in the digital age.
