In the context of increasing demand for innovative approaches to information access and stronger learner engagement with library resources, the integration of technology into learning experiences has become an important focus for university libraries. In response to this trend, INSPiRE Library of Ton Duc Thang University organized the program “AR Knowledge Quest: Decode the Clues” from March 18 to March 31, 2026, at the Library, attracting enthusiastic participation from students.
Designed as an interactive clue-solving journey within the Library space, the program introduced a new approach by combining traditional learning resources with Augmented Reality (AR) technology. Participating students used an AR application to scan selected books integrated with AR features, allowing them to explore additional content and collect information needed to solve the challenges.
By moving through different exhibition areas, observing, scanning, and gathering information, students not only explored a wide range of books but also challenged their ability to connect and process information based on thematic clues designed throughout the program. The process of collecting keyword sets and deducing the final answers required a combination of observation skills, logical thinking, and knowledge synthesis. The integration of AR technology into library activities enhanced visual interaction and learner engagement while also opening new possibilities for accessing and utilizing academic resources.
Through this activity, INSPiRE Library continues to affirm its role in innovating service approaches, strengthening connections between learners and available resources, and promoting the application of technology within the academic environment. The program also represents a step toward developing a modern library space that supports proactive and creative learning competencies among students in the era of digital transformation.
