August 28, 2023 - In a strategic alliance that has the potential to reshape the future of mutual collaboration in the library area, the General Library of Quang Ngai Province has entered into a collaborative pact with TDTU Library. Cemented by a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between TDTU and Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee, the meeting aimed to get support from TDTU Library in order to propel the General Library of Quang Ngai Province into the digital age with an innovative master plan that promises to redefine the way communities interact with knowledge.
Mr. Phan Dinh Do – Director of the General Library of Quang Ngai Province and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Loan Thuy – Manager of TDTU Library shared a common ambition to leverage new technology and knowledge dissemination for the advancement of education and research by creating a digitally enhanced library experience for all. “A blueprint designed to steer our provincial public library towards comprehensive digitalization and renovate the current reading spaces is needed. This multifaceted strategy encompasses a spectrum of innovative initiatives with details and specific times, spanning from revitalizing physical spaces to integrating cutting-edge automated technologies, all while focusing on empowering library staff to thrive in the digital landscape. We expect to have the support from the TDTU Library team to draw up the best version of this blueprint” – Mr. Phan Dinh Do said.
Prof. Dr. Bui Loan Thuy expressed her appreciation toward this master plan and promised to give General Library of Quang Ngai Province the best support with consultation in writing the master plan and providing upskilling programs aimed at equipping library staff with the proficiency to traverse the library digital realm faster.
As the ideas for the master plan takes root and this collaborative effort continues to gain momentum after this meeting, this partnership signifies more than just a harmonization of libraries; it strengthens the close and regular cooperation relationship between the People's Committee of Quang Ngai Province and TDTU.
