Ton Duc Thang University ranked 122nd in the world for sustainability
The ranking results of the world's most sustainable universities in 2021 were announced by the UI GreenMetric World University Ranking (UI GreenMetric) on December 14, 2021. Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) has been ranked 122nd out of 956 universities in the world.
With the aim of promoting global universities in building green environment and sustainable development, paying more attention to the impacts of climate change, conserving energy and water resources, reusing waste and increasing the use of clean energy sources in transportation, the UI GreenMetric collects data and rank universities according to the following criteria:
- Setting and Infrastructure (SI) (15%)
- Energy and Climate Change (EC) (21%)
- Waste (WS) (18%)
- Water (WR) (10%)
- Transportation (TR) (18%)
- Education and Research (ED) (18%)
TDTU has joined this ranking system since 2016 and has continuously maintained a high ranking in the list of the most sustainable universities in the world, and ranked at the highest among universities in Vietnam participating in the ranking. In the most recent results (in 2020), TDTU was ranked 83rd out of 922 global universities.
